2014 UKSA Annual Conference
The members of the UKSA committee are pleased to announce that the 2014 UK Synaesthesia Association Annual Conference will be hosted by Dr. Michael Banissy and Agnieszka Janik at Goldsmiths University London over the weekend of the 12th & 13th April, 2014.
The keynote speaker will be Prof. Simon Baron-Cohen, Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at the University of Cambridge and Fellow at Trinity College, Cambridge.
Simon is Director of the Autism Research Centre in Cambridge (www.autismresearchcentre.com) and holds degrees in Human Sciences from New College, Oxford, a PhD in Psychology from UCL, and an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. He is author of Mindblindness (1995), The Essential Difference (2003), Prenatal Testosterone in Mind (2005), and Zero Degrees of Empathy (2011). He is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, the British Academy, and the American Psychological Association, and co-editor in chief of the journal Molecular Autism.
Simon has been recently shortlisted for inclusion in the BBC's National Portrait Gallery People's Competition to honour his outstanding and influential research into autism.
