WHY THISSIO?
- Thissio is centrally located and close to the Acropolis. It would be an ideal location where we can all gather together and stay as a group, if we so wish. There are many reasonably priced quality hotels in the area, as well as decent AirbnB’s etc. and Thissio also has some fantastic outdoor restaurants
- For those who want to join, there will be a WhatsApp group so we can all stay in contact for any queries or advice.
- Athens is an historic, vibrant and friendly city that is simple to navigate, with a very well developed infrastructure and transportation system.
- The average temperature for Athens in May is a comfortable 25 degrees Centigrade – 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Greece is new territory for the international synaesthesia community and Athens will present a fantastic opportunity to increase international awareness, knowledge and acceptance of synaesthesia within Greece and the rest of Southeast Europe, as well offering up the chance to forge and maintain new international connections within academia and the synaesthesia community.
